Default Problem solved

We drove the car in daylight for the first time today. Discover a piece of red tape across the sensor. It was missed during the dealer prep. Thanks all.

You can move the seat all the way to the back, upright seat back, or check page 41 in the manual. Search "sit up" in the owners manual.

Could be similar to the 2022 NX350 having to have the seat "programmed" to work. All the way back, forth, up, down, until it functioned correctly.

Me, I would get this resolved sooner than later.
No. this isn’t a malfunction. It’s the car’s nannycam. It can be turned off through the settings. I did see it but can’t remember offhand. But it’s the normal default mode thing,

EDIT: I see now that even the dealer hated the nannycam.

Default Message

Picked up RX 350 H this evening and got a message on the instrument panel "sit-up.

Anyone know what that means?

Default Pink tape

That pink tape is a protective cover for the sensor, should be removed.

I was getting that driver sit up message constantly. I removed the red tape on the sensor and now it seems like it's not working. I have seen in a video 2 small red lights one on each side that light up inside the sensor and then go off. Even if I lean on the passenger side seat out of the sensor's view it still doesn't give any warning. I thinking either it's not working at all or I some how turned it off? I called Lexus and they said bring it to the dealer to check. Anyone have a clue what's going on?

Check in settings, driver support too,see if you have it turned on. All I got to do it turn my head to the left or right for more than a few seconds and mine alarms. Jury is still out of it I will leave this activated.

There’s also a sensitivity selector in there somewhere. You might not need to totally turn it off.

I saw on Dealer video on YouTube that shorter drivers and people who drive with their hand at 12 o'clock (covering the sensor) will get that message a lot.

Yes, I heard that but I'm 6'3 and don't drive at 12 position. Driving at the 12 position and not being shorter should make it beep more, mine is not doing anything. Thanks anyway though. I Guess I'll let the dealer figure it out.

Default Sit Up

Is anyone getting this message a lot from the driver attention monitor? I am sitting up, I don't know why it thinks I'm not. Is it looking for the seat bottom to be higher and closer to the roof? I'm 5'10", you would think I would be "up" enough.

The only time mine speaks up is if I look away for too long of a period of time, I am 5-11 so we are about the same. Only other thing would be the seat height or possibly you are too far reclined in your seat. I have never had it tell me to "sit up" . . . .
