I thought it was supposed to be the seatbelt that saved your life. The airbag explosion is just to stun you. Next, bubble wrap jackets.

the first time I saw the "sit up" message I seriously started laughing. My vehicle tells me I have bad posture? Sure, why wouldn't it these days...

Over the weekend - in sub-zero temps, I was headed to the store, and got the "driver inattention" warning - which usually dings and is gone. Sunday however...it was ding ding ding ding! The darn message would not clear, despite the fact that I was looking forward. First and only time that has happened, I'm blaming it on the -5 temp that day.

What triggers mine is looking down at the instrument panel for even a short period of time. I do that a lot when I drive, it sounds foolish to check the gauges et al but its a habit from years ago.

You are supposed to include the guages in your scan. It should not trigger for a quick glance. That said, mine triggers at times for that very reason, though rarely.

I've also had mine trigger to sit up and once asked if i needed a break. It also triggers from sun hitting it or covering the sensor with hand at 12 o'clock. I forget the exact message, but it's different from the others.

I hate this gauge placement ergonomic on this car, I have to look too far down. HUD makes it only an occasional issue though. That and a modern luxury car only getting a 9” gauge display.

I also was thinking why Lexus would not go to a large rectangular gauge and full digital display like others. Well, I can clearly see the entire gauge in front of me in my RX350h. This weekend I went to look at the BMW ix and Mercedes EQE, EQS. They all have that large digital display, BUT the steering wheel is covering a portion of the screen , so you have to keep moving your head to see some part of the screen depending on what you are looking for. Lexus wins again! We sometimes think that Lexus is old fashion and is geared towards older generation but I tell you, they go by what is functional rather than trendy.

Have gotten a new message today on my 2023 RX 350h. "driver's eyes closed" Any idea how to stop getting these type of messages?

"Sit up" is the persistent one I get all the time - if you frequently check your gauge cluster as you drive, which I do, the system pushes that message on you.

You can turn that off in driver monitor camera settings.

I left it on for my teenage sons profile.

Yes, but I want the legitimate notifications sent. This one is too sensitive. They really need to allow customization for each alert type to be optioned on or off, instead of the entire feature.

Default Annoying messages

When I'm driving my RX450H+ I keep getting a message popping up in the dash that says "Sit Up"......I can't find anything in the manual about this. I suspect it has to do with drivers assist and the fact that there's a camera pointed at you when you drive? Does anyone know anything about this or where I may read about disabling it? I assure you I AM sitting up!!

You may wish to ....raise your seat a bit or lower the steering column position. Either of these will give the camera a bit better view of your face when you are driving.
Mine scolds me all the time for not looking forward.

Can you disable the feature?
