Driver Monitor questions

That message is the worst one - I am sitting up, and I'm 5' 9". You have to disable the entire feature just to remove that one. I glance down at the gauge cluster frequently when I drive, that's what triggers it for me.

Hi all,
I have a 2023 500H that I disabled Driver Monitor Alert. Since I did that I get this message "Driver Monitor Unavailable, See Owner's Manual". I only get this message when I have one hand on the steering wheel in the 12 o'clock position, blocking the sensor on the steering wheel. The message goes away once I move my hand. I have contacted a couple different tech guys at different dealers and they have no clue how to disable this message.
Any thoughts?

I disabled the driver monitor in the vehicle settings, as well as the recording function while using traffic jam assist.
But the LS also pops up this same ridiculous "driver monitor unavailable. see owners manual" message too if I drive with my hand at 12:00. It is annoying me to no end.
Gonna keep digging but I'd also like to know how to turn this off also. If I've turned the monitor off why does it keep warning me about it being unavailable if my arm blocks it? I've turned the system off! I don't care if it is unavailable!
This system, in my opinion, is horrendous. Before turning it off it was constantly pinging at me for even the slightest eye movements, plus pinging for my arm blocking the sensor. To me, at least as Lexus has it setup right now, this system is terrible and adds nothing for safety. Car constantly nagging you for nothing. I personally fail to see how any driver on the road will want this system turned on.
Anyway, if possible to get rid of that above message somehow, even after disabling the monitor, please share. Otherwise I may ask the dealer at some point or hopefully Lexus can update with an OTA software update?

I believe the option to disable the notifications only applies to when the driver looks away or not ahead. The camera is still active and will disable the advanced driver assist features like Traffic Jam assist if you don't look ahead. So it will still let you know that it does not recognize a driver when it is blocked. Not sure if this can be disabled with current settings. Maybe bringing it to Lexus' attention will allow them to add that feature as an option in future updates.

That is how mine behaves as well. I don't think that you can completely disable that, but the annoying sound is not there anymore. I only see the message if my arm covers the sensor.

Driver Monitor
Does anyone know how to turn off Driver Monitor? Seems like the software has changed from 2023 to 2024. I have a 2024 RX350 and I don't see anything on the screen with vehicle customization, etc. to turn this annoying feature off.
