I can see both sides of the discussion, I think how long you plan on keeping the RX will be a factor if it is the right course of action due to the cost. The other consideration can be the colour, having had a black MDX that I spent hours on detailing the paint twice a year as every imperfection showed up, the wrap would be a consideration for a dark colour ( I got a white RX for that reason, less being a slave to my car)> Cheers

Well I have a Caviar RX and I know what you mean about everything showing up. I did have PPF applied to the front third of the car. But we also have a 2019 Toyota Prius in the white pearl and I regret not having a film applied to the front of it. The rocks beat the hell out of it and those imperfections do show.

I just installed the PPF. Full front, including fenders, hood, and side view mirrors for $1,400 US (no honeycomb). There are a few tiny bubbles but I was told that they will disappear with time. Is that your experience? I installed the Kavaca ppf by Ceramic Pro.

The tiny bubbles in mine did disappear in a few months.

My 2023 RX gets washed a couple of times a year. That's when the Dealer runs it through their car wash, after service. I don't have the time nor energy to spend washing my car on Saturday mornings.
I don't expect to keep it over two years and I will have it detailed before selling it.

Got the full deal Xpel PPF today. $1648 (CAD - $1221 USD) incl. tax. The dealer wanted over $3000 CAD for less. Full fenders, full hood, mirrors, front bumper (excluding the little diamonds in the grill), headlamps, foglights, the lower bumper black vent covers, door handle cups, A-pillars and roofline to sunroof. On the roofliine, they had a bit of a problem doing a full wrap due to the gasket, but the edge is wrapped.

@Eagleboy99 that's a decent price, for sure. What type (brand) of film did your installer use? We had the same area coverage, add the little diamonds, and it was significantly higher here in the Mid-West US. Although still much cheaper than the dealer was "offering". It's done now, tho'. And glad we did it.

That is a great price. I have to shop around then. I am getting a price of $650 + tax for headlamps, 24" hood and fenders, mirrors, door cups and door edges only in Toronto area. I think it seems high a bit?
