My 2024 has the same issue.. I brought it up to Lexus.
I am sorry but, for a car at this price point and in this class the customer should not JUST deal with it. Lexus needs to deal with this and fix them.

Perhaps. But FWIW my tesla has been flawless--an absolute dream. Super excited to drive every time. No noises going down the road, no creaks, groans or rattles. My interior is precision very precise and all lined up perfectly. So nice to look at--i'm a stickler for inconsistent gaps. feels extremely solid to drive.

Much how people largely judge Lexus on its reputation for reliability on its older cars, people judge Tesla on its build quality/reliability reputation which is largely from its older cars.

And if there is an issue, mobile services comes to your door and fixes it instantly. no questions asked. all with one click of the app. just a dream experience.

Mine isn't perfectly flush, but seriously, not a huge deal. Not a big deal. Not even sure it's a deal.

I realized a long time ago, that somebody will always complain about something. Some people are just wired to find fault. My ex-mother-in-law could walk into the Oval Office and the first thing she would notice would be something she thought was out of place. She often mentioned what was wrong with the meal she just cooked as she served it. There was always something that could be better. She was exhausting.

Some are just wired like that. And if it's not the gas door, it's something else. It's always something. Always.

Exactly these daily driven mass-produced cars, think about when they get banged up in parking lots it quickly be hidden by that damage. Look at exotic cars, the panels are glued together, and they use multiple washers to try fix space gaps which never look right, even the paint jobs are exotics for the most part always need corrections!

I was just thinking the same going through this post. I mean if a slightly off centre (and I mean slight) is your biggest grip about the reliability and quality control. Consider yourself fortunate. I would hate to hear anyone get into a hypercar that cost many times over what our vehicles cost.

edit: Mine is flush

My gas door also is not flush and quite noticeable. I took it to the dealer today as they have one mechanic who has had good luck in adjusting this known issue. As it turned out mine is one of the exceptions and they are ordering a new door, and as the service advisor said "hopefully it will work", I hope as well. Cheer

Same issue here. Took the care into the dealership for the 5k service, they looked at it and ordered a new door. The service advisor said they have seen a ton of issues with the gas doors. Mostly around getting stuck opening. They said they wouldn’t be surprised if there was a recall on them.
