Default Are backseats flush when they are put down?

Question for someone already in possession of RX350 LUXURY 2023. Although I don't think the Trim level is going to make a difference in this case. Can anyone tell me if the backseats are flush when they are put down for extra cargo space. They appear to be at upper angle when lowered. This would create an issue for our GOLDEN RETRIEVER when he would travel w us. Did they not think about all tthe Dogs that travel w their owners or even just quick trip in the area. Geez 😁🤨.

Hoping not but it sure seems to not sit flat like current year model we have.

They most definitely do not sit flat. Forget putting a cooler or crate on them. Cargo space is severely limited as a result.

That's correct, they do not sit completely flat, but I wouldn't think it would be a problem for a dog.
My 2013 RX 450H doesn't sit flat either.

Have a look at most any RX, and judge from there.

Appreciate the responses everyone. The current RX 350 2013 we have had since Nov 2012 sits flat. Bryce- dog is used to the same way for 9+ yrs. He won't be happy! 😁. He'll be like I thought you upgraded the vehicle. 🤭

May have to seriously consider the GX460 but was really waiting on Refresh on that one.

Buy a mattress for him. He’ll never notice the difference. You would seriously consider spending over $10k more because of this?
