Exclamation Did anyone measure the cabin noise level?

I picked up mine today, RX 350h Prem+. I noticed the doors issue too. I guess I will just get used to it. However, the cabin was quite noisy, way more than I expected. I used the Decibel X app and it was measuring 76-80 dB on the highway, 75-80 mph. So I have a couple of questions for everyone here:

1) Did anyone measure the cabin noise level and if so can you share your numbers/experience?
2) If indeed there is something off with my RX, any thoughts on what might be the issue or what I can check myself (i.e, like something is not sealed right...etc.)?

Thank you so much!

Since you're in Texas, I assume it's not (snow) tires...

It is the Michelin Primacy. It sounds to me more like wind noise. I can also feel cars passing so I am leaning more towards wind than road. The dealer installed tint so I am wondering if something happened to the seals. Not sure how to check though other than visually.

Without a doubt tires make a difference. My 350h demo had Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires and the car as still quieter than our Pathfinder with Micheline LTxs. Regardless, the thing was superquiet at 75mph (comparatively speaking)

Thank you! I agree. Yes, the tires make a big difference but those Michelin on a 19" wheel should be on the quieter end relatively speaking. I visually inspected the door seals and they look OK. I can't roll down the windows yet since they were just tinted yesterday but I made sure they are all the way up. I plan to take it to the dealership. I am not sure if they have certain tools to check if there is a leak/sealing breach somewhere.

Do you have the 19" or 21" tires?

As a general rule, larger tires are noisier than smaller tires due to the shorter sidewalls. Plus the smaller ones are cheaper.

Sometimes the wind noise comes from the exterior mirrors. Once the dealer replaced the left mirror on my Accord and the noise went away.
Try driving with the mirrors folded in and see if that makes a difference.

No roof rails or anything like that. It has the panoramic roof though. I agree there must be something off. I can't believe this would be within the normal range. 75-80 dB is loud for a car like this. A fellow member here reported mid 50's at highway speeds which is consistent with a YouTube video I found.

I too measured with Decibel X app on my 23’ RX 350 F-Sport last month on my way back from picking her up at dealership. At 70 mph my readings were 66 to 67 dB, very quiet. Factory 21’s with Goodyear Eagle Touring rubber. 2 to 3 dB quieter than my previous 4th Gen RX

Check your tire pressure, make sure they aren't over inflated.
