In the Netherlands (an maybe everywhere in Europe?), the warranty is 5 years for the Hybrid standard. And will be extended to 10 years, when you keep bringing your Lexus to the dealership for maintenance every 15.000 km.
The 10 years warranty comes without additional costs.

Hey guys, quick question. If I cancel the extended warranty (bought the car Sunday and regret it, I got it way too expensive), is it possible to re-buy it later before the 4 year/50k normal warranty is up? Or you can only buy it once?
Not sure if I even need it for my new 23 RX 350 but I guess I got caught up in the moment....fortunately it does seem like it is 100% refundable.

Thank you so much! Yes that was my intention; letting the first 4 years or 50k miles go by and re-evaluating after. By then you can tell if you need it or not and if I was to extend, it would still be during the existing warranty. I may pay a few hundred more later but at least I may not have to pay a few thousand instead!

I never buy the warranty since you get 6 years and 70K on the power train with the new car. Anyone know if you buy the warranty and you total the car after 1 year, do you get a prorated refund?

I simply wouldn't buy a car which I think required an extended warranty. I bought our new 2023 because our 2013 which we still have has had zero issues in 10 years.
I did violate one rule I often follow, which is not to buy a new model when it has been completely reworked as the 2023 RX has been...so far so good, but I'm noting some problems still being worked out in this forum. (our old second car, a 17 year old Volvo, gave me indications it was time to get a new car).
I think many of the problems I'm reading about here have to do with what I consider to be perhaps too much technology...in many ways I prefer the relative simplicity of the 2013, but we're adapting...we just don't see compelling reasons to synch our car with our toaster, etc.

I still laugh about my sales woman's pitch on this coverage. She explained the coverage and then asked how often I've had to replace a windshield. I said never in 43 years of car ownership. Well that ended that conversation. lol

Well I've lived in 14 different states including Alaska. On top of that where I live in Texas all our roads get chip sealed every 7 years so lots of small rocks on the road. Still never replaced one.
