Shadowed Spots on the Headlights
#16
Without seeing the proprietary internal designs or other testing data from various manufacturers, it's hard to pinpoint exact reasons for certain perceived headlight anomalies. Could be a tuning aspect to pass certain regs/certification, could be a shadow of a technical part. Could be anything. Hard to say without tearing apart the headlight (of which i tore apart many over the years) Pretty much if it's on both sides, it's likely normal. If it's on one side, it's also likely normal. Headlights are very technical and can exhibit "anomalies" which are "weird" to your average layman. It's not for you to worry about as it's an engineering byproduct which is inconsequential to the end user.
25+ year of high end headlight modding and I've seen all sorts of shadows and anomalies, and even created some myself using various mods, plates, washers, shims, sloped cutoff plates, etc. We used to tune in or out various things in the headlight projection. I used to make custom plates back in the day and tuned in color using lenses and washers. The tiniest change will exponentially magnify over very large distances. So what you're seeing is tiny tiny tiny tiny on the headlight, but looks large when projected out onto the wall/road.
In the end don't worry about it.

It's not a worry problem. It's a distraction problem when driving at night. I've never seen this "feature" in any other headlight.

I agree it is very much a distraction. This is the first car I have ever had with such a strange shadow. It is on both sides but I only find it distracting on the driver’s side.

Showed the dealer the blind spot issue and they are claiming it is caused by a sticker stain from an RFID sticker (ie. FASTRAK) or garage opener. Car is brand new and I didn't attach anything to the headlights. Is this an issue from the manufacturer using RFID on the vehicle or discoleration caused by heat from the headlamps or a touch n go sticker being used for tracking vehicles in the lot?
Touch n go being used by dealer for tracking when in lot??
If you go close to a wall, it will look lile the L shape also

Pole Position
My Audi had these shadows as does my Lexus. I believe they are made this way. Supposed to avoid blinding oncoming driver.
