Does anyone know if the nuluxe “leather” are any good? I was suppose to get the nx350h but stretched the budget to get the rx350h. I was wondering if going luxury trim was really worth it just for leather seats and the 14inch screen. That’s the only 2 things on the trim difference that would make me consider.

thanks

I have Nuluxe in my ES and leather in my wife's RX. The Nuluxe holding up far better than the real stuff. In fact, after four years, it still looks brand new.

The Luxury package also has a seat with a power thigh extension, and the seat is actually trimmed in alcantara.

This has been my experience as well. I have just the opposite however with leather in the ES and NuLuxe in my RX, although previous RXs were leather. Real leather can develop visible lines along the stretch marks from the animal hide, which is not a problem for NuLuxe. I have also had people compliment the leather in some of my previous NuLuxe equipped cars so many people can’t even tell the difference. I might add that the NuLuxe seats don’t stain as easily (think jeans dye transfer) and clean more easily when soiled. I would probably want the larger screen though…

Almost all of the Premium models have the 14 inch screen added as a factory install, added cost. Things that I would not miss are the HUD and the keypad on the steering wheel. I would have liked the cornering lights, but they are only available with the three beam lights. I also wish more models came with the Panoramic View option, I would have paid extra for that even if it seems gimmicky.

Most of the Premiums have the 14 inch screen added for $1105. I have not seen any so far without it added.

how’s this even possible. I asked my dealer they said they can’t do it… is it because I live in Canada? Lexus Canada might not have that as an option even tho all the cars are made here… is yours all wheel drive?

And I have also noticed that all the Premium Plus RXes - have the HUD option. Which goes counter to one reason to buy the Premium Plus - you want real buttons on the steering wheel and not the touch pads. Based on that, I am sticking with the Luxury trim.

In Canada, Luxury and Ultra luxury trim on the 350h comes with Smooth leather, the 14 inch screen and other accessories. The standard model, “Premium”, has Nuluxe seats and the 9.8 screen.

There are different packages and options in Canada vs US versions.

You can't even get a power rear window shade in the US.
