Default Anyone have Running Boards??

I had running boards on my 2018 RX and they were perfect for my young kids to get in/out unassisted. I’m missing them badly on my new 2023 RX. I haven’t seen any new ones being sold with them. Anyone have any that can share a picture? Thanks!

When you use the "build your RX" function on the Lexus website, they offer running boards as an accessory for $750. So they must be available.

@autotech13 ...i have not seen an RX with running boards.. Was that a factory install item or aftermarket?

Can you share a few photos? Would you get them again?

I learned this same lesson on our 2021. Mudguards should really be installed with the running boards. On the 2021 it got expensive because the running boards had to be removed to install the mudguards. Then the running boards could be reinstalled. Given the mess on the running boards from the front tires, this seemed like a necessity to me. But that also demonstrates the effectiveness of the mudguards as the running boards have less road debris on them after driving on wet roads. Bottom line: it’s really a personal preference but I think they make sense on an SUV/Crossover.

The running boards were/are an option and factory installed on my 2018 RX. As for getting them again, I would not, dirt on them gets on your pant leg when exiting the car, but the RX does look good with them. They are kind of on the narrow side, which makes them sleek. I wish they were a little wider and power operated so entering and exiting would be easier.
They sure look good though! Sorry I don't have a pic.

All good points. The OEM running boards (2016 - 2022 MY) are pretty shallow, but they are a lifesaver according to my wife (who has an artificial hip).

Default Running Boards - no predrilled holes?

I bought the factory running boards for the 2023 RX PT938-48230 . Instructions were very simple but i did not see the preinstalled holes. Does anyone have pictures of the boards installed and the undercarriage where the bolts went.

Please show us pictures once you install them. I'm on the fence on whether or not to get them. We're a shorter family, so it definitely will help us get in and out of the RX without crushing the seats.

The floor mats are partially leather, and indeed nice. Not sure how they will look like over time, but we will see
They were standard on this trim (President line, but the trims are called differently in the USA)

Is your running board static? Does your running board lower (deploy) when you open your doors?
