Default Do you hear a CDROM search sound?

I know from experience that I can hear that same exact sound of a CDROM laser unit scanning and searching a disc on my RX500h. I have heard this a total 3 times and I assume I will hear it again. I might record an audio clip and post it. Of course you have to have the radio off and not driving to hear it. Yet there is no CDROM slot anywhere. Has anyone else heard this?

Do you have the car in D or R when you hear it? Since it's a hybrid, they broadcast an artificial sound to the exterior to let peds know a vehicle is moving or about to move nearby. They do this because there is no engine noise when operating on EV. That's the only sound I've heard that's out of the ordinary.

Its the qi charger detecting your phone when you put it on the charging pad

On my 2019, when I put it into park I hear the same kind of noise but it is the electronic emergency brake automatically being put on.
I am not sure in 2023 if you can shut it off from auto or have switch to go from on to off, but if you do move switch and your hear sound I am talking about.

Its your brake pedal. It happens every time you press it. I went to the dealer and all the 500h's did it.

I already responded to you and its quite weird that a mod deleted my comment last night.

Very interesting suggestions. I wonder about it. I will try all of those and see. Thank you all.

I heard similar sound every time making a full stop, e.g. at a stop sign. Thought that’s normal for hybrid. Isn’t it?
