I mucked about with adaptive cruise and regular cruise (push the little button with cruise-like symbol on it) and I don't mid it, except that it slows the car on curves. I prefer regular cruise.
And this shocked the heck out of me: adaptive cruise DOES NOT trigger my Valentine One radar detector. Not really sure if any of the assists do. So maybe they are SONAR?

They're radar, not sonar. Your detector has filters that prevent false alarms from radar based cruise controls and collision prevention systems.

Well if that was true then why do Mits and Mazda cars set it off?

Different bands, most likely.

My 350h was only built on Monday so I cannot verify this yet. I did download the manual and on page 594 are customization settings for the dynamic cruise control. It says that the available settings for Curve Speed Reduction are High/Mid/Low/OFF. Hope this helps.

Gotta admit, I’ve seen no option for that myself.

I think it may be the "Reduce Speed" setting under Setting/ Driving Assist/Driver Support/DRCC

That's where it is shown here under "Curve Speed Reduction" at the 10 second mark;
https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus/resou...eed-management
but in the "Deep Dive Pt 2" video, at 1:44:34 "Curve Speed Reduction" isn't there, just the Reduce Speed setting.

I don't have my vehicle yet, but the manual I downloaded from yhe Lexus site has 4 settings for Dynamic Radar Speed Control starting on page 593 and going onto page 594. I sure hope you can turn Curve Speed Reduction off. I have it on my Mercedes and have it turned off. People behind me did not appreciate the rapid deceleration going into curves!!!!

I'm going to turn it down first, but will probably wind up turning it off.

I find it concerning that it slows the vehicle down when under full driver control, but much less so when Lane Tracing is active. I've had the Lane Tracing fail multiple times through relatively minor curves on the freeway, while not slowing down, but it will cut 5 or more mph on the same type of curve when I have Lane Tracing off.

Just turned it off myself. The default was mid.
