Default Lane Departure Alert Weak

The lane departure alert on my 2022 RX 450h was great. I kept it on vibrate only and it was a clear vibration through the steering wheel when I crossed a lane without signaling. I traded for the 2023 RX 350h and the lane departure alert is very weak. I can barely feel the vibration in the steering wheel.
Is there a way to increase the vibration?
Thanks!

I also had a 4thGen RX. I MUCH prefer the more muted lane departure vibration in the 2023, vs the bone jarring one before! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Isn't there a buzzer as well for LDA?

Yes there is a buzzer, but I try to turn as many buzzers off as I can. That car would chime you to death if not minimized. I prefer just the vibration. I suppose I'll just ask the service dept at the dealer if there is a way to increase the vibration.

I had a 2021 and thought the vibration was WAY too much. My husband would turn of lane assist every time he drove my car because he hated it so much. I definitely prefer the vibration level in my 2023. Now hubby doesn't turn it off when I 'allow' him to drive my car.

Yeah, it seems you are in the majority. I'm pretty sure mine is faulty. I am having some work done early next week and will have the service department check it out. In my case, unless you're specifically feeling for it intentionally, you will not notice the vibration.

Default Changing alet settings - Lane Departure Assist

Hi, Just received my new 2024 RX 350H earlier this week.

I'm mystified on how to change the alert settings for the Lane Departure system from vibration to buzzer. Any ideas?

Thanx!

Have you looked in the manual?

Picked up my 2024 RX 350h this week. In checking out the systems, I also find the vibration of the steering wheel for the lane departure alert to be weak as well. Did you ever get a response from Lexus on this issue?

Thanx!

A couple double shots of espresso should fix that.

If you're talking to me, Kevin, the answer is not really. The tech at my dealership said that they had complaints that it was too severe on the 22's and earlier so they changed it to be more subtle. I just find it an annoying little side glitch now. On my 22 I liked it and counted on it. On the 23 I just ignore it.

I have been through all of the manuals for the 23 RX at least once and I don't believe that there is any way to adjust the vibration; just the choice of the preset vibration or audible alarm. I find that the alarm is too quiet to hear it if I am listening to music, which I almost always am. So I have mine set on vibrate because for me the audible alarm is useless. I have not seen where the alarm volume can be adjusted; am I missing something??

Even on my 12 year old Volvo when the lane departure, parking sensors or collision avoidance alarm are activated, the audio source is muted so the alarms are impossible to miss. And the parking sensor alarm volume is even adjustable so it can be set to your preferred volume.

I really like the RX350, it is a great driving car and I have absolutely ZERO buyers remorse. But there are a few technological items on the RX that in my opinion, are a step backward from what I am used to in the much older Volvo. I have a lot of the tech features on the RX turned off and will probably never activate them again.

Yes, it is weak and I like it that way. In fact, it would be even better if it had zero notifications.

Can't you just turn them off?
