DIY Radio Antenna Mast
First of all, I am going to give credit to ederny, gazi001, salimshah, Mark 2008 for the contributions shown mainly in this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...0-antenna.html and elsewhere.
As always criticisms, additions, etc. of any kind are welcome.
For this job, you will need a long phillips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, a 10mm wrench or even better a 10mm socket wrench, the antenna mast and/or antenna motor (depending on what is broken), and a partner. If you do not have a partner to help you, see the 10 foot PVC pole I use later on instead.
In the case of a broken mast, although there is a simpler way to turn on the radio, unscrew the antenna nut, and see how much of the antenna can come out (if you can get it all out at that point or even with a wrench or pulling out...great, but if not, this is the method I used).

You should now see this.
This would be the point where you could turn on the radio and see how much of the antenna comes out and if possible (in the case of a broken mast) see if you can extract it. If you need brute force to do this, then you need to proceed to the next steps. Do not force this thing out.

Go here and remove these pieces. The one on the left you can basically lift off and the one on the right you can basically turn the screw and it comes off.

If you are replacing the entire motor assembly you can skip this step. However, if you have a broken mast you could not extract previously, then you need to take a phillips head and remove the 6 screws shown. Take particular note of one of the screws in the second photo as a long head phillips screwdriver makes this task easier.

You will see this. Then remove the white plastic cover to see the rest of the mast. You can then remove the remainder of the mast with ease.

Put the cover back on and the 6 screws back in and reinstall the two 10mm bolts. If you had to replace the motor, then you will be set to go and you can just seal everything up, but if you are replacing the mast. Then you will need to follow the next few steps.
