4RX Launch Date?
#6
Japan here, so could be slightly different than US, but fwiw…
- my Lexus dealer is scheduled to do the test drive and take a learning course of the new RX around late July
- official launch, prices and early orders will be open around late August (20-30ish). At that point, they don't expect any "proper" brochures they usually have at launch. We're supposed to order by looking at Lexus internal brochures (which I saw last weekend, and it gives a good idea what this car has, and how it compares, including technical specs like torque and power etc) - so I have no issues with that. Cars ordered on that early launch should be delivered by around end of October
- the actual "official" kinds of orders (with proper brochures etc) seem to start around late October. Cars ordered at this point could potentially be delivered by the end of the year, but with a non-zero probability to slip to early 2016 (the demand with pre-orders seems to be pretty high for this model).
I would assume it won't differ much (if at all?…) from US, but who knows… Hope it helps (though it won't sugar the wait

2016 Lexus RX350 - When is it Hitting showroom??
I was wondering when the 2016 Lexus RX350 will actually hit dealership showrooms.
I called two dealerships (Longo and Newport in SOCAL), and both said a different answer (1) September (2) January.
Has anyone spoken to their dealerships and asked the actual delivery date for this vehicle.
I need a new car now, but willing to wait until a few months, but I at least need a valid estimated timeframe.

The lease on my 2013 GS is up in December. Hope the new RX is out by then and that the December to Remember event includes the 2016 RX and the residuals and money factor are competitive. Otherwise it will be BMW or Mercedes!

Dealerships are usually clueless - as you've discovered.
