I have a 04 RX330, 32,000 miles and I had this clunking issue on ~ 30 mph coasting, also happens on ~ 50 mph when you try to lighty accelerate. My wife did not have a clue...but it irritated me like hell!

There was a TSB on it under transmission. The repair was to replace the OIL TUBE COOLER. My dealer did not apply this TSB and instead blamed it on something else, when I complained about it.

Since my warranty was up, last weekend, I did the replacement and the CLUNK was gone.

Pretty simple DIY.

Parts will cost $60 and ½ bottle of T-IV Tranny fluid.

For you guys who have this issue, get it repaired under warranty or else you can DIY it! I can post pics if necessary.
