VSC and engine light after service
Hello,
I own a 2005 rx330 with 96000km I bought it used. I recently replaced the following fluids: rear diff, transfer case, transmission fluid brake fluid, and power steering fluid. Also I had the tires rotated.
Also when I purchased the vehicle in April, the dealership installed the Weapon R cold-air intake.
About ten minutes after picking up my vehicle, the VSC and engine light illuminated. So I returned, the check engine light, I cannot remember the code but the problem was the engine was running too lean. At that time the VSC and the engine light were reset.
Today, while my wife was driving the same two lights came on.
Any ideas?

you should really get the code to help us help you,
but if its running lean then its probably an oxygen sensor, and if it was bad it would trip the engine light and the VSC light too.
you can reset the check engine light yourself by disconnecting the battery for about 5 min.
you cannot repair oxygen sensors, just replace them.
sounds like a coincidence that you just had it in, doesnt sound related

Check the airbox for a pulled vacuum line. If they checked the air filter as part of the service, they may have pulled off a hose.
My Highlander did the same thing after an oil change, twice. Once I plugged the line back in, the problem went away in about a day. Switched to a K&N so they don't touch the airbox.
It's worth a shot and takes only a minute to check it out with a flashlight. They could have knocked it off when changing fluids as well.
Good luck..
