Angry 07 RX350 How to remove AC filter behind the glove box

Hi everone,

I am new in this forum. I want to replace the AC filter behind the glove box.
In the manual tells that I need to remove two pins (platic)of the hints of the glove box. I look at these pins and do not know how to remove it. What tool do I need and how do I do it?

Thanks

If you turn the pins, you will be able to pull them out. Once they are out, the glovebox will drop down.

This job is simple, don't let the dealer charge you $40.00 for it, buy the cabin filter at auto supply store, around $13.00. Pull those pins out and you can then slide the new filter in, takes two minutes, ENJOY your savings!

It's dark in there, and everything is painted black. Once I got a flashlight on the scene, it became very clear and easy to see how the "pins" work. From there it takes about 90 seconds.

lol yeah its a twist and pull type of pin. then the glove box drops down and you get a good view of the filter. you then just pull it out

. . . and if you don't have a flashlight, use your iPhone - because there's an app for that.

you can actually use your fingers. literally, its twist, then pull. there is one on each side. First fine the black screws on either side of the box. you twist htem to one side, and then you can easily remove them.

You may want to lift the front edge of the glovebox lid slightly, so that there's no weight on the pins when you try to turn them. Each turns only one way to remove.
