Re: the rain sensing wipers: I had them on a previous car and didn't like them all that much. I like the control of setting a delay as opposed to a computer making a decision. Addtionally, my wife always leaves them on so any time I drive her car and adjust the rearview mirror the wipers make a pass - not the end of the world but I've sighed more than once about this.

I know you can set the 'sensitivity' but for my money I prefer intermittent. I do like the quick wipe if a truck throws water on your windshield that you weren't expecting it, but that's the only real advantage I could find and usually I'm keeping an eye out for that stuff anyway when I'm driving in the rain.

Just my $.02.

i LOVE rain sensing wipes. i will not buy another car without it. when i get back into my old IS300, i hate having to finger the lever back and forth from fast to slow, fast to slow, fast to slow, drives me crazy.

anyways...does anybody else think the extra 3 (or 4) speakers for $112 is a really good deal? does it actually open up 2 to 4 more places for speakers, or does it just add a tweeter.

My IS didn't have rain-sensing wipers. I did start to wish the RX did this weekend though, driving into and out of various strengths of rain storm for a good part of the day; my hand was on the wiper stalk a lot.

actually i find RS wipers to be quite useful for the lazy me. you can always switch to intermittent by switching off "AUTO".

i'm not sure since i haven't heard this alleged "Premium" sound system but I would assume that for only $112 it is better. I hope they don't just go cheap and add a simple coaxial tweeter because then it would be a ripoff. The Mark Levinson version opens up more slots in the back.

I took a couple of Qik videos on my iPhone (video is a bit choppy but that's just an iPhone limitation right now) :

1) walk-around and quick tour
http://qik.com/video/1080996

2) remote start and puddle lamps
http://qik.com/video/1080996

If there's interest, I can try to do a live one and let people send requests of what they'd like me to do through chat (it appears live on the phone while I'm shooting).

sweet. nice looking color too. i am hoping to get a dark car for my next model. as of late the only colors i got on a car are gold, silver, and then guess what, silver. dark is harder to maintain though. a scratch on my brother's black bmw is magnified 10x versus on a comparable silver model.

PS: ciparis, the two links are the same videos, not sure if you meant it to be like that. didn't see anything about puddle lamps though.

Yikes. You're right, here's the correct link for the puddle lamps and remote start:

It finally stopped raining -- so it was time for the first wash 'n wax!

Congratulations on your RX. I just got back from the dealership and I have to say that I really really like the looks of the 3rd generation RX both inside and out. I would definitely consider this for my next vehicle.

I look at your pics and can't wait to buy mine... if I can just sell my current car. Quite hard to do even at a very attractive price.

Default New RX

Nice Car

Had a couple of questions. Does the car come with folding mirrors? And have you used the Lexus LPS settings? Also was the small credit card smart key available? They were too new when I saw one at my dealer. And they didnt know.

Thanks
