Talking Very Buggy 2010 RX

I noticed the other day that the front end of my RX was sagging. Seems that it had so many bugs attached it was being weighed down. I have never had a car the bugs loved so much they were willing to sacrifice themselves on the front end. My RX is a magnet to bugs. After about an hour of scrubbing I finally got the damn things off. Thank goodness I have a clear bra.

I wonder if someone makes a peel off bra?

You must be near I 10. The love bugs are bad from FL to TX along that route. I used to live in Slidell, LA and they drove me nuts. Could actually clog the radiator certain times of the year. They also gravitate toward light colored vehicles.

Remedy: Move North about 200 miles.

iewiew, what did you use to clean the bugs off? It's a good thing you have the clear bra. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get them off without one and the damage they could do.

Maybe a bug net is in order

This happens to my car every time I leave the city and get into the country-side at night...

Default Removing bugs

I used a bug scrubber and a lot of soap to get them off. It was a real pain in the butt. This car is a bug magnet.

I just waxed the leading edges with Star Brite Marine Polish with Teflon. We use this on our airplane and the bugs almost slide off with water.

I've read that WD40 is good for removing bugs. Also, it's best to allow the bugs to soak before trying to remove them. A liquid detailer is good to use. Most importantly of all, remove them ASAP. I also live in So. Louisiana and we do get them in clouds down here. During the love bug season, I carry a damp towel and detailer and as soon as I stop, I wipe them off all painted surfaces.

With the weight of all those bugs on the front of your car, the Front / Rear balance must have changed the handling drastically.
