Custom settings
My 2013 RX350 is reaching the 5K mark.
I am going to ask the dealer for the following customizations:
1 Moon Roof - Wireless remote control linked opening - turn it off for reasons discussed in this thread.
2. Driver’s seat and steering wheel movement when exiting the vehicle - they do not seem to be going back to the farthest position.
3. My default memory setting is L2. Occasionally, I see it setting itself to (probably) L1 by itself. Is this something I should point to the dealer or is there some setting fix I can implement myself? I am the only driver of the car and I use the same key fob all the time.
Are there any other customizations you can suggest that will be useful? I have gone through chapter 6-2 of the manual but might not have realized all the advantages of changing some settings. Nothing to beat practical experience! Hence this request.

I would reconfigure the trunk door button to auto-open the trunk and would try to disable the seatbelt buzzer.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
Are you referring to "Power back door opening operation using the back door opener button" in page 985 of http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do...sec_06-02.pdf?
I can open the trunk from inside using the button to the left of the steering wheel. I can also open the trunk using the remote control as well as the switch on the trunk door itself. Are you referring to something else?

That's the one. By default, when you press the button on the door itself, it only releases the lock and you have manually pull it open. With this change, the button will operate the same as the one on the remote or on the dash.

Certainly! I just got the RX back from its first dealer service (10K miles maintenance).
I had them do the rear door button, disabled moon roof from opening when using the remote to open the windows, and got the seat belt chime disabled. I forgot to mention to have open door warning buzzer disabled as well. I will do that one next time.

Just got back from the 5K service. I got the moonroof and window opening disabled from the key fob. Service Advisor told me they had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to do it. He said that was why it took them 3.5 hours to rotate tires and check fluid levels - no oil change.
Also, he did not understand the setting for the trunk suggested by vlad_a and FamilyRX. Unfortunately, I had not taken the manual with me and he said they did not have a manual, which I found strange. I will ask if they can do it next time for free.
Tip for others going to the dealer for customizing settings - take the manual with you so you can show them what you want done from section 6-2 (2013 RX manual).

I've got a Techstream and I still cannot disable the annoying seat belt chime. I am given the option when I hook up to all my Toyota's but there is no such option when connected to our 13' RX F-Sport.
Anyone know how the dealers are disabling this item?
(Yes, I always wear a seat belt but I just hate the damn chime!!)

No idea what they did. I assumed it was done by Techstream, along with other options.
Some dealers can't figure out how to change the rear door button. Maybe it's the version of Techstream.
Could also be a sequence of buttons and levers that needs to be performed to disable it w/o Techstream.
