License Plate next GEN white?
Hey guys!
Just got an 05 Rx330
I checked the search on the forums and I did a google search for "lexus license plate bulb"... but can't really find too many posts from Lexus owners on which bulbs they use to replicate the new "WHITER" license plate bulb look of the newer Lexus.
**I did however find a lot of posts on how to switch out a bulb so I'm very well versed on that now **
The license plate bulb on the 2005 RX330 my parents just got are yellow--and I'm hoping to make them look better
Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry if this thread has come up before

Thoss whiter bulb u see on some of the newer Lexus are LEDs, just find the equivlent size LED and pop it in. BTW, why would you want to draw attention on your license plate to the cops?

If theyre gonna pull you over it doesnt really matter then does it? lol I dont think having brighter led plate lights will attract more cops. If they have the intention of pulling you over, theyll pull you over regardless. Leds will help them see your plates better, but honestly theyre gonna see it anyways. Know what I mean?

Some cops will give you a ticket for poorly lit or extremely dirty and/or undreadable license plates. I know in our state, if the license plate becomes unreadable due to the paint on the numbers fading or chipping off, you have to have it replaced or you can get a ticket. Same for an extremely dirty plate covered with mud or dirt. If the cop can't read it they can give you a ticket. In that case, I figure no sense giving them probably cause to pull you over and perhaps find more reasons to give you a ticket.
