Default 1997 supra TT seats on 92SC400 *pics*

I never used the heated seats and was tired of looking and sitting on 11 year old seats...
Got some matching 97 supra TT seats....
passenger side is non-powered and much.. and I say much much lighter.
driver side is only powered forward and backwards and the leaning is powered. Lumbar is manual.
The tan leather matches the 92 SC400's tan leather interior perfectly.
All bolts bolt on perfectly and the plastic covers that hide the bolts go on fit perfectly also.
The seat is lower by 2-3" (according to my butt meter) but the seat support is unmatched.
For the driver seat you do have to splice 2 wires (supra seat only had 2 wires and SC400 with heat had 11 wires) the only ones you need to splice is the 2 fat wires (blue with wite and black with white).

the seats can be had pretty cheap from supra guys who are getting rid of their stuff.
My back seats, armrest passenger seat etc etc were in great condition so just by changing the front 2 seats it achieve that "new leather" feeling. I got my stuff for a little less than $300 and it was totally worth it. IMHO it is better than getting new seat leather.... I love the way the seat just hugs you.
I'm pretty happy with the amount of dead weight(at least to me) I was able to get rid of.

I don't get it. Why would you do this? There is a reason why a lot of Supra owners get rid of their '97 and '98 seats. They're horribly uncomftable. Most of them get the '93.5 to '96 Supra seats.

I don't understand what you are saying.

you say that alot of supra owners get rid of their seats because they are uncomfortible. then you go on to say that most of them get the 93.5 to 96 or 97 supra seats.....

what are you trying to say? please clarify.

My reasons for doing them.
1. Much lighter
2. holds you in the seats better
3. I've had them for about 1500miles or so and the 97 supra seats fell more comfortible than the SC400 seats.
4. The leather on my 92 SC400 driver side leather was starting to fall apart.

ditto that my brother!

I don't know how much of an affect it has on center of gravity. But aside from the lateral support it feels like I do get tossed around far less on hard turns.

ahh I get it now.

I don't think the 97 seats are horribly uncomfortible I think they are a bunch more comfortible than the stock SC400 seats.
These seats came off a 1993.5 Supra TT that the owner got rid of the 93.5 seats and got the 97's because he felt that the 97's were more comfortible. He sold because he just got Sparco seats.

the only reason why the 97 owner go to 93.5 to 96 seats that I know of is because the 93.5 to 96 had the holes on the seat back for the 5point harness but otherwise the seats are identical in every way. Please correct me if I am wrong about the seats be same except for the 5pt harness holes.
