I知 new to all this fitment stuff. I just recently purchased a 97 sc400. I知 impulsively bought 18x9.5 +38 wheels but now I知 concerned that they will rub. I don稚 want to roll or pull my fenders. Would this setup be good or should I cancel my order and get 8.5. I知 on stock suspension but I want to go lower in the future.
My understanding is they may poke out a little bit. There is a wheel fitment thread with all the information you will need. Also fitment industries site had a good reference on almost any wheel size.
Gamer front: rim size 18x9; offset +44; tire size 245/45/18; no fender modifications rear: rim size 18x10; offset +49; tire size 265/35/18; no fender modification

Thank you bro I知 gonna keep the setup just need to figure what what tires would be best. I wanted to post on that thread but I don稚 know how to make a post without replying to someone痴 else痴. I値l try it on my desktop to see if that works.
Our cars have really thick lips on the fenders; with cutouts for little plastic nut inserts that hold the fender liner up. When rolling the fenders; you will pretty much never get 100% perfection because when you roll that lip flat; it will leave slight distortions in the metal or wave that can occasionally be seen.
The correct way on supras + SC/GS's is to cut the inner fender lip off; but alas that is much harder to do. I figured at some point in my life this car will be repainted, and any distortions will be taken out so I had mine rolled. No pulling, i did rub on the rear before roll but not after.
18x10 +25 rear on 275/45/18
18x8.5 +25 front on 245/40/18
from my understanding +50 is pretty much the same as the stock offset, i have 18X9 +35 all around the front slightly rubs only on full turn the back does not rub even after lowering it and getting all the fenders roll. i actually wish i got a more lower offset to get a flush fitment, but its a trial and error, I am planning on getting maybe 15mm adapter. but you should get the fender rolled regardless so you can try on different fitments without too much worry.
I have the 350z anniversary rims on my car. 18x8 +30 front and 18x8.5 +33 rear. Tires are 245/40/18 front 255/40/18 in the rear. With this setup I had to roll the fronts and rears because it would rub during heavy dips or aggressive uturns. My car is also lowered. I don't have aggressive negative camber so. Many people will fix rubbing issues but going heavy on the camber but I like a straight look. 9.5 is a pretty wide tire and I would expect that you'd get rubbing issues if you dont roll/shave fenders.
