Default My wonderful car

I've had various sports cars in my now 76 years. But I've never had a car I love (not just like) as much as my '98 SC 400. Complete Toyota Supra suspension, Lexus 400 sedan brake upgrade with cross drilled rotors, 18" wheels and tires....my Gosh does it handle and stop. I'm a former SCCA National license holder so I like to think I can appreciate handling and braking. No engine mods, CALIFORNIA ya know. But a rear flow through exhaust, might be 5hp, who knows and it burbles nicely, not to loud mind you

Mine, before tinted windows

Not my car
. And without a doubt, 50% of the time when I park I get comments about what a beautiful car it is.

whenever I park or sometimes just sitting at a light, I get comments about what a beautiful car it is.

Good morning,
I am so glad to see another Senior Citizen in our group that loves his SC as much as I do. I do have you beat by 9 years since I will be 85 this coming week. I love your car, there is just something about a red car. I also have the Supra suspension except for the sway bars which I have another type and boy does it handle.
Good to see you post, let us see more.
Bill

I've always been fond of the newer body style in Renaissance Red. Beautiful! I think the only thing I could find myself changing on a stock unit would be the sunken wheels. Some 20-30mm spacers make a world of difference; although in your position you know that isn't the safest thing to do if you were racing it.

Welcome!

Great color and awesome car! A few little things like a subtle lowering kit, some wheels and tires, etc can go a super long way to make these a stunning cruiser. Keep enjoying that bad boy!

beautiful car - hadn't heard of people doing a supra suspension. i need to look into this, as my 25-year old suspension is crap.

Hey perfctreig,
With the Supra suspension, you will need the springs and shocks, and strut mounts from a Mark 4 Supra. I found a deal on a new set of lowering springs and then found a deal on KYB gas shocks and struts. The KYB strut mounts were just a lucky buy. I love my suspension, even though it sits a little lower than it should be because of the difference in weight between the Supra and the SC.
Best of luck,
Bill
