Default STOP the passenger seat from crushing legs!

Is there a way to stop the passenger seat from sliding all the way back after the backseat passenger gets in and you snap the seat back upright?

Mine slides back to what seems to be almost as far as it goes while my passenger screams “it’s crushing my legs!!”

Seems like the seat should just go back to the last known position instead fully back.

Only way would be for the operator to stop it by pushing the slider mechanism forward. Unless you enjoy watching people's legs get crushed, then by all means. Watch and enjoy.

Replace it with a non-power seat...

It's spooktober. Turn it into a SAW trap.

Aww geez seriously?!

Well actually at times I snap the seat back and it doesn’t slide all the way back. It just stays put. I wonder how I do it or is it just old and malfunctioned just that one time.

It may be the age of the electronics. I hardly have anyone sit in the back seat, but the few times I've had my eldest in the back seat. He's special needs and can't afford to crush his legs or I'll have a bad day, pretty much and he's 5'10 so he barely fits back there anyway.

I have found a solution kind of by accident.

If you have someone sitting in the back and you're in the driver's seat and want to put the passenger seat upright again you just have to push on the backrest until it starts to move (do not lock it back in place or it will fully go back to it's leg crushing position) then hold it there until it slides back to the desired position. When it's back far enough THEN let go so it returns to the forward tilt position. It should stop moving and then you're free to pull it all the way back now without it moving.

I used to have to reach over the seat and push on the slider controls to stop it from moving but this works much better.
