My plan is to make a single one off pillar for guages that has four pods in it.
I'm waiting for a "test" a pillar to show up so I can start this project. But what I plan to do is mount 4 pods to the pillar then fiberglass it. Then fill the fiberglass mold with foam, let it harden and then pop it out. Then cover the foam in bondo and work out all of the rough shapes and make it all pretty like. Then I can use that as a mold and wrap that piece in fiberglass for a pretty finished version.

I'm only seeing two issues right now. How to make the holders for the factory clips so it snaps in place and then how to texture it so it matches. I think I will just paint it black with automotive paint once its all done. It should look like one of those shiny custom jobs you see in those high end stereo installations.
So issue #2 is really a non issue for me.
My timline is about 4 weeks for the whole deal, and once I get started I'll post pics.

Here's my gauge... A'PEXi EL 60mm boost meter. It's mounted in the corner of my windscreen because it's the easiest place to see the gauge (not much eye movement), also it's stuck on the glass instead of drilling into the A-pillar.

Okay, so I've started my 4 gauge pillar.
3 60MM pods and 1 52MM pod.
60MM- TACH/EGT/BOOST
52MM AFR

I found that 2.5 inch pvc elbows have an i.d. of 2 3/8's (60MM) I then cut the elbows so they are smaller.
I will add the other two elbows and then bondo and fiberglass these badboys. Once thats all one I should have a mold I can use to make one for my car. Then i can cover it in leather and make it all pretty like I'm going to document and photo the whole thing incase anyone else wants to try.
Before I get the why so many gauges question, I might ditch the tach and place that in the glove box as well.

Any how here are the 2 pics as they sit right now. PreBondo and Pre Glass....

Incase the img no workie.

I paid 875 for all seven gauges, a defilink II controller and a defi link I controller. All sensors were included. I found them on supra forums.
I found this on a au site for you.

Here is the what I'm working on right now. No just debating on what other gauge I need to have there, probably oil pressure.

Default sc300 gages

I removed the console ash tray, and fabricated a wooden insert there, with two holes for Boost and EGT gages. The wood is a very close match to the original Lexus wood trim and looks like it belongs on the car (I used Padauk wood). This leaves the cupholder free for that all-important morning java!

Pics available on request..... phil@auldridge.org
