Automatic trunk pop with auto open
#16
Update
UPDATE: I got the Amazon A-premium lift supports and installed them but they do NOT auto-lift my trunk.
After popping the trunk (by dash switch or key fob) they do however push the trunk ajar so I can at least tell it can now be opened by hand. Once you pull the trunk up a bit the hydraulic lifters do the rest and THEN auto opens it the rest of the way. Still better than before when popping the trunk you could only go by the sound otherwise you couldn't tell it was even unlocked.
Now let's see how long these will lasts. Will update in about a year's time.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Worked as a pop up for the first 2 - 3 weeks and then stopped and now it only clicks open and i have to nudge it up a bit for it to go up. Personally I don't mind that at all but I'm glad the spring thing exists if i decide to have the auto open function at some point
