Default Update

UPDATE: I got the Amazon A-premium lift supports and installed them but they do NOT auto-lift my trunk.

After popping the trunk (by dash switch or key fob) they do however push the trunk ajar so I can at least tell it can now be opened by hand. Once you pull the trunk up a bit the hydraulic lifters do the rest and THEN auto opens it the rest of the way. Still better than before when popping the trunk you could only go by the sound otherwise you couldn't tell it was even unlocked.

Now let's see how long these will lasts. Will update in about a year's time.

Same here after installing fresh struts. After some months occasionally the force of unlocking is just enough that it'll pop up without me touching it but usually stays down. As long as it's staying up while I need to access to the trunk, I'm happy haha! But yes, also happy that some kind of solution exists for this.

92-2000 SC's never had auto open trunks. The struts only hold the trunk after you lift it manually. Old struts won't hold the trunk up, new struts hold after you lift it yourself. Have had my SC since 92
