Default Driver wheel well wiring mess

Son lowered his 93 sc400 and it shredded wires under the front fender on the driver side. I was hoping this was a wiring harness I could buy and replace, but having no luck finding the correct harness to buy. Thanks!

shew thats no fun. This is very commonly discussed and advised to relocate before lowering. I just relocated this harness a couple weeks ago, it connects in the drivers side footwell with 4 plugs. Youre gonna have 0 luck buying this harness new. If you want to find a harness get on facebook SC groups, and you'll want to find someone with a 93 sc400 getting parted out.

Your best course of action is probably taking all the plastic sheathing off, repairing all the wires with solder/new wire and heat shrink/insulation and relocating the harness through the engine bay. This will take you a few hours to do a high quality job. If you wanted to do this as quick and safe as possible, taking out the risk of breaking the connectors I'd say just solder all the wires and dont drop the car back down.

If you want to ride low, youre gonna need to move the wires. Goodluck.

oh that yellow sheathed red wire is something to do with the airbag, dont test your luck with that one. Your hood latch release is nearby too, dont want to mess that one up.

watch a few different peoples videos on this if you do the relocation. again GOODLUCK!

Pretty straight forward. First you will need to raise the car up a bit, 1/2" +/-. Then some time, 50 feet of wire, 100 feet of heat shrink, fresh spool of solder, solder iron, comfy seat, handle of vodka & mixer of choice.
I would extend the wires & push them up against the inner frame rail to tuck everything away out of the center. Everyone wants to wire tuck the engine compartment, so adding wires is counter productive.

I did this to my SC back in 2010 My friend soldered each wire, extended them, and relocated the harness through the engine bay.
