Question Discontinued Exterior Window Belt Weatherstrip

Part #68161-24010

Oh boy I wish I would've bought a full set of weatherstrip from Lexus when I fell in love with the SC.

My passenger door belt weatherstrip is letting a lot of water past it. This part is discontinued and I'm not having any luck finding someone to sell me a decent used one..

If anyone has one of these new knocking around, you have a sale waiting for you :-) I'd love to buy it...
If anyone has one of these USED, but in good enough condition to fix my issue, you have a sale waiting for you :-)

If not, anyone have a decent solution to my issue?

and... on a side note, do you guys forsee Toyota ever reproducing some of these oddball but necessary parts for us SC / Soarer guys?

It looks like the piece might still be available from Japan.

I just tried the part number (68161-24010) in Amayama's system. About a year ago I checked on its availability in Japan but found it to be discontinued over there (but still available in low supply in the U.S.). Now Amayama lists it again as available to order. Hopefully some more stock became available and they can order it for you, OP.

This is among many parts for the SC/Soarer cars that really needs to be a part of Toyota's GR Heritage Parts program... or get remade by a quality aftermarket reproduction vendor.

The other option is to hit up the SC group on facebook.

You might risk trying the SC430 versions and see if you can adjust them to work…. eBay lists several sellers.
