Default Pic of (Smoked red/clear tailights)

Hey there everyone I just finished clearing my tailights. I tried something new when I cleared my tailights. I smoked the red part from the inside and clear the bottom. I bought a piece of lighting cover from the local plastic shop and fitted it in where the red/amber part. By smoking the inside it gives the tailights a blood red look from the outside, and the plastic piece makes the bottom match the rest of the light. Here is the final product, enjoy! Thanks to all the CL member that help me throughout the process.

I fixed your pic - OLT

when you upload a pic, click the pic so it shows up. then right click it and copy the properties.

try it until you see these properties:

this is for the other pic, but find it yourself so you know how.

Yeah, its something like that. I'm just waiting to get my car back to take the final pic of the tailights lighted up. Yeah, we should meet up sometimes w/ the local SC's. Thanks!

Oh yeah, hey anthracite for the middle part of the clear what color does it light up now. The reason why I'm asking is because when you brake the top part is red and the middle of the bottom is suppose to red. I'm sort of deciding not to use a red bulb, so I was wondering what I can do. Thanks!

Default there is

On mine...the top turns red on the brakes only
The two circles to the right and left are now the signals and not part of the brakes.
U can wire it to do that if u want. Or the other option is to just disable the bottom ones.

It's just cool to use all the clear area as signals

i love it when peole do this mod... it brings more individuality to SCs rather than relying on 92-94, 95-96, or 97-00 lights.

If U want the bottom to light up red, but be clear when they're off, use some LED's. I posted details about them awhile back. U can find it doing a search on LED.

Thanks all! Yeah, this project was surely worth it. I have to say though using a heat gun is much easier than placing it in the oven. "Can't wait to show you guys my final project!". . .

Anthracite, how would I wire my tailight in order to allow the clear light up with signal? Thanks!

Default well

Well..the way to do it is to splice into the wire that already makes the current signal and use that one.
I did NOT physically do it myself but have watched it get done.

Hey Anthracite so I would cut off the brake harness and hook that up to the signal? Thanks!
