Got engine cover for xmas!
One of my xmas presents was a 95-97 SC/LS engine cover. I hate to say but its really a total rip-off. It was $118 and shipping, and all this thing is 15"x15" piece of injection moulded plastic with some contours and vent cuts and "1UZFE" in raised letters near the front.
So far the fit looks fairly good, I had to remove the traction control box top, and the front engine cover placard. I need longer screws to mount it properly. If it doesnt set perfectly I'll just have to send it back.

Happy new year everyone. Just wanted to let you know the engine cover worked out good in the end. There is no mounting point for it on the right side, so It did stick up slightly at first, but the hood pushes it down when closed, so it conformed over a few days and is now tighter. Looks great, I get plenty of comments, including sarcastic ones from my g/f who cannot understand the "pride in your ride" concept.
Just to let you know, This came only on the 95-97 LS, and 96-97 SC. The SCs 98-00 had a different engine cover that accented the cars intake plenum and looks great.

Go to "lexuspartsmall.com" I forget which lexus dealer this is, but they sell accersories and parts. You can email them for the part number and pricing. The SC300 does not have an engine cover. There are some plastic moldings to cover some accesories in the compartment, but the engine is exposed, not to worry since it looks great anyway. Are there alot of exposed wires and vacuum tubes around it? I havent seen too many JZs in my time...
