I autocross in F-Stock and can generally place about 4th in a field of ~9 drivers. Mach 1's, z28's, and Trans Am's comprise the other 8 cars on any given sunday. The cornering abilities of the SC400 far surpass the competition, whereas the other cars have the HP advantage. I have Kumho Victoracers, oversized, on the stock wheels, that i switch out for each event, along with intake, and exhaust.

I'm relatively new to drifting, but there's a track that opens up for drifters on wednesday nights. I've found that drifting is a more expensive habit, b/c it costs 15 bucks for 2 or 3 hs of parking lot time, as are tires. It's all the rage in houston, seeing as formula d just came through here.

Shoot. $15 events? I wish i was there. Im in the Washington DC area and we have our second of two "big" drift events coming up next week at FedEx Field. A falken drift event. But that costs $100. . The little "practice sessions" on thurs nights in richmond are like $40. and thats "cheap". After u add gas for a 90mile drive it gets pricey then as u said tires . I want to see how my car does in autox. Those are only like $20 or so.

Default Vibration

Is anybody experience vibration in your SC300 when it's on idle mode and when you are driving and stop in a traffic light or stop signs. I am not sure if I need to replace my engine support or transmission support. Please let me know what I need to do to fix the problem on my SC300, 1993. Thank you for your time reading my problem

Default So who here REALLY drives their car?

AutoX, Drag Strips, Drifiting is for PUSSIES!

Try driving a Soarer through France/Belgium on public roads at 150+mph and we aint talking 10 lane highways here with a median the size of Manhatton but dual and single roads with some dividers if your lucky.

(in France you have to drive faster than the locals, who all drive at 120+mph in diesel Renault's)

Bill,

Don't the French drive on the other side of the road compared to the UK?

"Why is everyone driving towards me?!?!"

You should really come out and try it, it is hella fun. My wife and I both drift her SC and I am SERIOUSLY contemplating stripping down my fully drift prepared 240sx in order to buy an SC and make it into a drift *****. The SC handles amazingly well, rrotates perfectly and has great TQ down low to get the tires spinning. The setup we have on our car is Tein FLEX coilovers and Daizen sways, and even with these basic mods it is fantastic to drive.

Just watch out for those crappy stock steering rack bushings
