i dunno, but it's in the wrong catagory. thats an informational service.
looking at it in perspective, i'd say they are used to working with the average light door and doing it to an sc would cause a need to seriously put that door on a diet. i know the unibody can support the weight of the door with the specially designed factory hinges, but aftermarket, you might not get enough surface area on the pillar to mount the door effectively.

i did a search on yahoo.com, i found some info that has instructions on how to do it, it would be very difficult to do on an sc, the doors on the sc are made really good, doing a lambo conversion on them would be very difficult. if anyone is interested i can PM u the link to the web site. or i could post it if its ok with CL rules.

If you guys are talking about gullwing doors on our sc's forget it, the door is so heavy the roof wont be able to support the weight. If you look at the size and weight of our door hinges theyre made to hold the 100+ pd dr, now if we can get a set of carbon fiber doors that will look preety silly

I think it would only work with new doors made of carbon fiber or fiberglass. The new doors would already be an arm and a leg though. I'd just be happy with carbon doors though

While the SC doors don't have the panache of a Lambo or Delorean, they have the most highly engineered hinges (IMO) of any car....wouldn't change them in a second....and love looking at them each time I open the door.

All lambo doors are, are doors that hinge up with a gas shock. Basically like your trunk. Youd need a mother of a gas shock to support our massive doors.

Some FYI. About a year ago I found a guy in CA that modifies any door to do this. It included hydrolic buttons to open the door from the inside because the way the door currently works all has to be changed. and the kicker is it costs $15000 dolores for the conversion. There was a pic of a mustange cobra that looked unbelievably hot as all hell. Personally, I like the lambo door look and I wish the price was more in the low thousands cause I would get the conversion. There is no way you can make a car look cheaper by putting those doors on it. But, that's my opinion
