This is a very bad idea. Good luck with that.
Try to be careful on your airbags. If you enter the gas station to fast and hit the skid plate. It will deploy the airbags.
Mazda had a recall regarding the tow plate. They have replace it with a shorter one.

tried the skid plate project thing working with another fellow CL member and we have yet to get the right meaurements down. the thing that we're trying to work around is the front nose being so far out of the support beam on the bottom.
if anyone has any ideas, please share....

no pics yet, but the major problems is that if we put the delrin on our car, based on where the original plan of the skid plate project, then it would be pointless since the concrete would contact the delrin first, and in return bend (the delrin) upwards a bit with the chances of harm to your front lip/bumper. does that make sense? the delrin piece would be too long, not short like the GS owners. I have one more idea that i want to try out, but i'm looking for a metal cutter to cut some custom pieces. hopefully i can get a template and mass produce these babies. There is no way that my rotary tool can cut this thick metal.
But this first custom one is first going on an AC kit from a friend.
