Default is there any soarer twin turbo owners here??

hello
i joined this forum today to find some information and to seek some advice from you guys in U.S.A
i live in Australia and own a 94 twin turbo soarer, by the way is there any soarer twin turbo owners here??
if there is anyone i would like to seek some advice from you guys^^
well i was looking for an intake system for my car and i came across an item that i was very interested in its an american product called weapon-r RamAir kit + dragon intake system. im pretty sure you guys already know alot about these. my problem is that the product dealers there are not familiar with my car even though exterior is the same to the sc300/400. they told me to send in my original intake piping so they can make it accordingly but this is a very difficult process when im down under. i would like to explain to them the measurements etc but i dont think i can describe it perfectly enough for them to make the intake piping to suite my car. it would be really great if any of the soarer owners there with this kit plz Help^^
attatched is a picture of a TT engine bay left where the carbon box is where the intake will take its place..
hope to hear some good advice from you guys thanks

there are many soarer owners in australia and there's an australian soarer forum too!

the best performance is actually achieved by the cheap and efficient mod named "BFI" which utilizes the factory air intake system and filter. it has been dyno proven and is simply amazing since it also saves u gas!!(i luv this mod~~~~) See the attached link for bfi info and soarer info. you should be able to find the australian soarer forum from that site.

That setup you have is so simliar to the Supra TT setup that you're best bet is to buy an intake for the Supra TT of the same year... I'm betting that will fit up quite nicely.

Hi SMK

I live in the UK and have a Soarer TT which is fitted with a SSI intake

To view this go to http://www.toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/...&threadid=1236

Now sure if they would export to Australia you would have to ask.

Have fun!!!

hey smk , i got it on my sc400 and its mainly for looks and a little bit of growl but i never really felt any performance out of it. so i would say its not really worth it at all unless your just goin after looks. as soon as i get off my lazy azz i will do the bfi instead. hope this helps

He has a 2.5 twin turbo motor. His car will respond a lot differently to an intake upgrade compared to how a V8 would.

Tan is right, you can't compare 2 completly different engines horsepower wise with the same mod...

good to see fellow ALSC member here on CL nice to meet ya Jose ^^

yeah l agree with you guys abt the different gains in these two types.. but its a definate that the TT's benefit more than the v8's with this setup or any intake setup. i know the best is the BFI but.... i know this kit also produces very similar increases with such great looks and i think with the Ram air kit it will sound sweet^^
thanx for your interests guys
well i decided im gonna get the ram air kit + dragon filter + heat shield and the intake pipe ill custom make it in Australia.. i think its too much hassel trying to find a anyone with a TT especially in the States with this setup since these models werent released there...
wish me luck guys
when i do get it set up ill post some pics and a testimonial
thanx again fellas
i jus attatched a pic of my car for the fellas in the States
