Talking 14.08 1/4 miles !!!! YAY!

Ok, 2nd time ever at the tracks...

Orlando
Crowded as hell
2 runs only.

Mods.
1.0 bar boost
S-AFC set at almost -12% all the way across on high throttle.
3" mendrel bent full exhaust.
supra brakes
SS lines
supra wheels
Stock auto tranny
NGK 3330 (that helped ALOT)

1st run:
14.16@102.29
60' - 2.36

2nd run:
Set 5k rpm range to -15%, set 7k rpm range to -14%
14.08@102.70
60' - 2.398

I went along for the supra meet and i have decided on 2 things.
1. my car is way more comfier
2. I am sooooo putting a single turbo on this car and beat down on the BPU's

Thumbs up

Nice runs! Especially with those bad 60' times. What kind of tires were you using?

I met you at Tower Shops for an RX-7 night when you still had the FD.

I had some falken something or other (deep v cut, cheap *** tires). It was a humid day too and not too cool. I'm guessing if the temps go down then i can expect 13.9x times.

so....

next item on list

1. boost gauge
2. fluydine
3. HKS twin power

does that sound right? any other suggestions?

get your 60 ft times down man! You should be able to run a 2.0; if you did you'd be busting mid 13s man

Higher stall TC and some tranny work may help you out.

ok how will the tc affect driving?

Will it be better to get a tc or a 5sp/6sp swap?

A higher stall converter will allow you to build more boost at the line and drastically reduce your 60ft times. The stock stall may allow a 2.1 or 2.2 at best.

auto vs 5/6 speed, its your call but what are your plans with this car?

dragstrip --- def a built auto
