Default carbonfiber

I was at the dealer yesterday for instructions on how to take the wood off. The guy I talked to said the wood on the 95 sc can't be taken off without breaking it. I'm not sure I believe him. He's the same guy who told me I couldn't do the 97+ conversion. I'll go back to get someone else's opinion. In the meantime, those of you that have taken yours off, please give instructions and include what year your car is in case there are some differences that need to be considered.

Once again, I repeat. You HAVE to take the dash of on a 93-up... due to the passenger airbag! You have to unscrew the wood from the back, after the dash is off.

Default dash

Unscrew what from where?
Instructions usually go like this:
1. Under the door handles are screws, take them out.
2. Take out the screws under the door lock switches.

Etc...etc...

This link is for replacing stock speakers but it's got pics and everything on how to take the door panels off. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=109384

As far as the dash goes on 93+ SC's, I'd take Tony's word on that seeing as how he's already removed his wood trim.

I know that I am going to sound like an idiot for asking this, but oh well. Once you get the wood grain out, what are you doing next? Are you just going to have whatever is behind it there instead? I would rather have wood grain than nothing. Furthermore, a shop in town sugested that I have a professional airbrusher paint it for me. Does anyone have an oppiniion on that? I know that it wouldn't be carbon, but I could get it any other color I want. Just a thought.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. Before I ride around a month with a hole in the middle of the car, I'll go to plan B or C. I'm thinking of doing something no one else has (can't tell ya until I see how it looks)or simply re-varnish the wood to look like the newer cars.
