When I did mine, I used a combination of flat black and glossy black(didn't make a difference wether it looked shiny or not, it came out flat looking anyhow) I can't even remember what brand of paint i used. I bought it at Home Depot.

Yeah, I would recommend Plastikote Satin Black. That is what I used on other sets that I have done

Please keep in mind, the pictures of all the different cars are showing DIFFERENT ways of blacking out the headlights.

Some are painting the actual GLASS and tinting it like you would windows.
Mine is not like that..and some of the others. The other way is to paint the INSIDE of the housing and leave the outside glass alone.

YOu need to decide exactly which one you prefer. Each one has advantages/disadvantages and also looks good/performs on diff cars.

i agree, i definitely took notice of that as I am still constantly debating whether to do it, and if so, which way, I have to say though I really like the way you executed yours, thanks again for the link you provided again.
