Default does anybody feelt he same way?

well i want to ask if you guys agree with me on this pet peeve of mine that i have about the sc300 or sc400. i dont really know how to explain it, but ill try. when you open the door of the sc, you dont get bare, sexy all window-ness. there is something covering it. i personally love that look. makes it more sporty. i know its a luxury car and all. but it would be really sexy if sc's had bare windows. does anybody get me?

I assume you're talking about the b-pillar. I believe the mercerdes cl and clk come without b-pillars. It works pretty good on the cl but the new clk looks cheap without it. Since the cl has similar dimensions to the sc300/400's, it would probably look okay. Personally, I like the b-pillar being there. It means a solid, stable car that can handle a severe accident if needed. Plus, it just looks good.

Take it from someone who has taken an SC into an accident. They hold up pretty well. I don't believe that pillar would have left me or my car in any better condition.

it is roof support. you will appreciate it when you have a rollover from being t-boned.

I'd be happy with the frame. I had a late model Formula Firebird that has huge doors like the SC but no window frame. I can't count the number of times I had the door panel off trying to adjust the window alignment so that it didn't whistle. I do agree that it looks cooler when the door is open and the window is down.

PS. you could have a B-pillar without having a window frame...

edit: oh, and by the way, I did flip the Firebird at 75mph, and while it did get pretty squashed, it has massive C-pillars and held up well.

You gotta have the B-Pillar. Besides, you can strip the paint down for a polished look (not my thing, but maybe yours).
