Best places to mount the HID ballasts and ignitors

im having the same problem bro. dont know if mounting the ballast on the ram air is a smart idea but i think we are going to have to. damn giant ballast! unless you want to risk having them suspended next to the pipe that holds the freeon for the AC. theres just no room under that hood!

Just to update everyone on my status: I've since bought a set of McCulloch 6000k HIDs from a fellow member and have mounted the ballasts/ignitors underneath my headlights. They work great!
I also have Philips 6000k HIDs on my BMW. The Philip is just as good as, if not better, than the McCullochs.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

i mounted 1 ballast onto an existing bracket near the airbox and the other one on another existing bracket near the battery. i didn't want to make any new holes on my car so i just left it there so it looks pretty ugly but it works for me lol. and i am running 8000k klight hid's
