That is nice. It looks fresh off the showroom floor. There are not enough compliments for that SC.

Sweet! You might as well consider it a brand new car.
You may have one of the newest (based on mileage and
condition) SC's in the country even when comparing to 2000's.

Yes, it's really beyond mint condition. One owner, garaged and entirely stock (even the OEM tires). I think that I'll go for it.

By the way, I missed out on a 1992 SC400 with 18k miles on Ebay. It sold for the "Buy It Now" price of $16,500 in less than 24hrs!

With the 1997, I figure I'm getting an overall better deal.

You would never think it, but there are loads and loads of 92 SC400s with no mileage out there. The one with 18K you just mentioned, and at the same time there was one with 49K and one with 39K and then later on that week one with 59K. There have been many, many more examples of this over the last year. Apparently people bought the cars and never drove them. Consider these cars go for 10-20K, these are the best possible values you will ever, ever see in the car market.

My goal is to find a 98 with 25K miles in about two years.

Yes the thing is, the ratio of 98+ SC300s to 98+ SC400s is like 4-1. 98+ SC4 is a very rare car... according to production figures there are only about 7,000 98-00 SCs ever made, so I'd figure about 3,500 SC4s. Sales of the cars were appaling due to the design being around for so long, as well as the introduction of the new GS.
