The BFI is actually on my SC400 - although I have the materials on hand to do the 300 as well. The BFI cover and side were cut from Lexan - purchased at Home Depot. It was cut with a jigsaw and a hollow ground blade as suggested on the Lexan. I initially tried doing it with a Dremmel tool - which worked OK but tended to melt the plastic.

My philosophy on finding the perfect SC was to avoid dealers and only deal with individuals. As I mentioned, I looked at a few duds that were not babied before finding this one. It's funny, I had actually reached a point where I was just going to look at SC's more as a hobbie than really intending to buy. And then when I saw this one - I bought it on the spot. I called my wife and she said... "Oh No" I said - "Wait until you see it"

Once she saw it - she understood.

Hang in there reggiek - patience really pays off. You will know the right one when you see it.

Great interior shot, nice color, you found a winner. Your right when you said, "You will know the right one when you see it" That exactly how I felt too.

So what made you go with the 300 after you had the 400.

I would have to say the 5 speed... I doubt if I would have purchased a 300 in Auto - but who knows if I found one in this shape.

I do find the 5 speed is fun to drive. And for what ever reason - the 300 feels more nimble. It could be the 15's...

However I love my V-8! Especially with the throaty sound of the BFI. It is so hard not to push it past 3000 rpm's all the time just for the moan.

But I find the vehicles are quite different to drive and I love em both!
