looks awesome -- really nice on black car. How'd you get yours? CF hoods seem to be very hard to come by.
Were the hood pins required, or did you want them? Personally I like the look w/o hood pins because pins seem to break the natural lines of the car. Pins look great on a classic muscle car tho.
All in all, very nice.

as for the pins, you don't have to get them if you don't want to, me personally, i like the look...and i drive very fast...before i got the pins installed, i could see the hood moving a little, so i installed the pins.....but you don't necessarily need them....it stays firmly in place.....

lookin good llmidnitellsc40.... as far as the pins go, my personal opinion of course, I agree also that they do break up the lines of the car...but, you do mention a very good point, I had a friend put a cf hood on his car and when enough wind got under it, i guess the latch couldnt take it and the hood flew up and back breaking the windshield...so from a safety standpoint

Looks hot. That's a huge lip on those C5's. I'd love to put a CF hood on my SC but I'm a little paranoid since my crash.
It's good to hear you had a positive experience dealing with them. I've got to order some stuff from them in the next couple weeks. Sounds like they're trying to turn their act around.

Wow, you see the threads a lot more in your hood than mine...
Here's mine:
I opted to get the hood locks not the pins and haven't had time to put them in yet. I think with this hood, you're going to need pins/locks anyways because when I'm driving around, I see the hood flapping a bit.
Car looks great Pat! Did you install the pins yourself? I've been wondering where a good mounting point for the locks/pins would be...I might do them at the same spot you did...

Im glad you guys like it
J, they are 19s, 8.5 in the front and 10 in the back....
Thanks Tony, yea i did it myself, it took a while cuz i had to measure and make sure it's in the right spot, if i mess up, then i pretty much messed up the hood, i got lucky, but yea, i think that spot is the best place to put it because you have a little bit of room to drill and put the stud in without the headlights getting in the way....
