Ok, here's the deal, had a 1995 SC 400 with some 20x8.5 giovanna berlin's on it with some toyo 245-35-20 tires, and they were stolen back in july. I've been going back and forth with the insurance company about this since last summer, they finally denied my claim today because they have an expert who initially said 20's wont even fit, then I showed him a pic of a SC with 20's and he said if you could get them on they would definately rub, well I had my rims on for about 6k miles and do not drive hard at all and because they didnt see any trie transfer marks on the fender linings they say I never had them on there and denied my claim, I was hoping that some of you could help me out, my tires were correct and my bolt pattern and offset were correct also so they didnt rub at all, does anyone else have a sc with 20's that dont rub and if so can you type up something describing your situation because if not I am out $3,500 with no recourse,hope you can help a fellow lexus owner. thanks

About the fittment of dubs without rubbing you NEED to contact a member named Manaray who is very knowledgeable when it comes to wheels, sizing, etc. This is a quote about the 20's he had on his SC.

what insurance co do u have? I was covered by AAA a few yrs back if u have them. Make sure you at least get covered for the value of your stock sc400 rims

...and by that he means dealer price brand frickin' new with tires. Give the Insurance Co. all that ebay crap they asked for, whatever they want provide it to them at lightning fast speed, gather up pics and statements from members here if you can, also any email chains where you discuss the rims and your SC. I'm not really big into taking pics of my car but in this situation it would be helpful to your cause if you had pics of your ride with the rims. Did you mount them yourself or have a shop do it? If a shop was involved then get documentation from them as to the fittament.

i just pput 20's on my car last week and they rub a little bit in front on turns....not on normal driving speed turns but when i am backing out or turning in....just at slow speeds and when i hear it i usually left off the wheel a little bit so they wont rub buti also have the eibachs on....was yours lowered?

jsut go to your local auto paint and body shop and ask to look at their paint sample book, you should be able to see many differnt types of paints. Tell tehm what you want im sure they can show you.
