relays arent necessary.
I have been running this way for some time on two cars (supra and sc300) without any problems or change in blinking rates. It is only a matter of splicing some wires together. Ill try to get a small vid for anyone interested in a week or so when i get back to my car.

1 relay per side is necessary if you want the sidemarkers to stay on and still signal. If you just want it to signal all you have to do is to run the power wire from the actual turn signal in place of the positive sidemarker wire but it will just signal whenever your corner lights signal and never stay on like it did before.

with the relay setup, would you need a dual filament bulb?

no. basically with the relay you would have a wire coming from the signal wire of the corner light to make the light blink, a wire coming from any of your parking lights to keep the light on when switched, a ground wire, and a positive power wire that is constant. those would be all 4 wires needed to hook up the relay. don't ask me how because i'm too lazy to figure it out right now. basically this setup works by keeping the signals on when the lights are turned and are switched to off whenevever the signal is turned on. so basically its doing the reverse of what a signal light does.

Deceptik is right. But, personaly I see too many Integras with that set up. Where the lights take turn blinking(not my preferance). So, to to make both lights blink together, you would need a dual filament set up. So, the corner lights would stay on and blink brighter when signaling.

the use of a relay isn't necessary for the "alternating" look

i have mine setup so that my sidemarkers (the ones that cost 150 for clear) on like normal, but blink opposite time of when the turn signals go.

They also blink "alternating style" when the park light is off.

And sorry to say it... but this was my first mod (cuz it's free) that i did over a year ago. (But hey who's keeping track

I'll have a video with everything my car does when it's done.... phase 2 of my "reveal"

*sigh* alright.... but if i tell you... you can't show them off if we are ever at the same meet...

AND you can't tell anyone how this is done

haha jk

it's really very simple... cut the ground off the sidemarker... and tap it into the power wire of the turn signal. and yer done! call it the "ummagawd thats tight" mod

Have you done this same modification on your own car? Somehow this doesn't sound quite right?

This is what Japanese soarers do. They serve as marker lights and turn signals.
