indy, you'e "hyperblinking" is probably the cause of a blown bulb up front in your headlights on the same side as your "hyperblinker". have you checked that out?

Is it possible to wire it so you retain the main turn signal and make the side marker blink in alternate? Meaning the side marker will only blink when the turn signal is activated, then the front main turn signal comes on a second behind it.

I prefer none of the amber to stay on at night, only blink when activated.

I think there's 2 different looks that everyones asking about.
1 - sidemarker rotates with actual flashing turn signal
2 - flashing turn signal stays on and flashes brighter when signaling
Is there anyone that can clarify the wiring and wire colors needed to perform each mod? Preferably someone that has done it themselves and feels confident. We have some experienced SCer's on here and I'm sure this won't be hard for them. Thanks to everyone in advance if this works.

all you have to do is use the Parking light 12v for Positive and the Turn signal 12V for negative....

the Turn signal's positive lead is Ground at rest and only goes 12V when the signal is applied. I do a LOT of these kind of setups for the honda guys.

Default side marker flash

Guys,

Yes it is possible to convert the side marker to a flashing turn sig and keep it a "normally on" side marker.

Get one of those common little cube relays. Like they use for fog/driving lights. Cut into the parking light/side marker circuit. Connect one wire to the NC(normally closed) terminal of the relay. Connect the other wire to the remaining NC terminal o0f the relay. Without being energized the relay will just function as as inline contact and the side marker will come on with the parking lights. Connect one side of the relay COIL to ground. Connect the other side of the coil to any non ground "turn signal" light wire. Presto.....if the turn signal flashes, the voltage it sends to the light will operate the relay and the marker light will flash. The marker flash will be out of sync with the turn sig flash.

This way you need a relay for each light that you want to control. If you want to run some wire you can have one relay operate all of the side marker lights on the vehicle's one side and a second relay operate the other side.

i think the idea is cool

would making them turn signals in any way effect the original turn signals?

if both went at the same time that would look pretty sweet :-)

i have mine different, my city lights blink and corner stays on, but now hyper blinking, figure gotta add resistors to the mix, plus the city light is not bright enough as a blinker, so i will try the sidemarker method.
