That is very trick. How much does the servo assy weigh? What brand servo/gear components did you use?

I use 2 Linear Actulator each side to lift up the trunk. There are two way to operate. First, I installed the swtich inside the car. Whenever I want to open or close, I need to press the switch manually.
Second, My friend help me on this idea, Using the Alpine alarm system and hook up with relay to operate open or close.

Each Actualor cost aournd $250 plus installation. It can left up to 200 pound each one.

The reason I came up with this motoried trunk becuase I installed a lot of Dynamat and u know it so heavy. The factory trunk strut can not hold it any more. I don't want to show off my sound system and use some stick to hold up the trunk.

hmmmm. I was gonna add a actuator for a custom cover over the radio space, when I pull out the factory unit to add a 1 din system plus guages/afc for my NA-T setup

I was actuallly impressed with that site. I'll probably use it in the future for my d/v when I get the capability. They have a lot of bit torrent stuff that is entertaining.
