I think i'll do it, I spent a fortune buying the kit and shipping it to the UK, so it would be a shame to scrimp over 200 dollars. Still, its probably less noticeable on black paint...

Here's my rear end for all to see...
SOARER came with the car (along with the Toyota badge). I had the Toyota badge nicked, so replaced that by buying a Gold plated (genuine gold plate) L badge, and LEXUS to go on the left side of the trunk/boot. I also got 4.0GT-L, all in about $350 for the griffin, L, LEXUS and 4.0 (4 badges). Not cheap but they gleem like hell

Two things to mention here;
1) I didn't mount the griffin correctly here, it should be at a 45 degree angle!! but it looks ok
2) The gryffon here is gold plate, the JDM ones are all chrome plate.
When I get my respray, i'm going to mount the griffin on the back where the L goes, with nothing else, that should really confuse people!
